Sport Tech Match 2017

Company mission Enterprise Europe Network on 29 June 2017

NRW.Europa is offering a company mission on sports related technologies for on the day before the matchmaking event. The company mission will take you to medicoreha Welsink Rehabilitation GmbH in Neuss, the German Sport University Cologne and Covestro in Leverkusen.

 

medicoreha Welsink Rehabilitation GmbH, Neuss

The company mission will start in Neuss, the neighbouring city of Düsseldorf. We will visit medicoreha – a specialist Clinic for Medical Rehabilitation – and get to know the latest therapeutic options with special focus on exercises for competitive athletes.

 

Institute of Biomechanics and Orthopaedics, German Sport University Cologne

Professor Potthast of the Institute of Biomechanics and Orthopaedics will give a short overview of his institute as well as biomechanical and sports technological research projects. Afterwards he will present selected measurements related to sports technology. The measurements will be based on complex 3-dimensional motion analysis and determination of the musculo-skelettal loading and performance enhancement. German Sport University Cologne is the only university in Germany  dedicated exclusively to the world of sport and exercise science.

 

Covestro, Leverkusen

Covestro is a world-leading supplier of high-tech polymer materials with global presence. Its products and application solutions are used in many areas of modern life and for a wide variety of industries. Covestro experts working in the Business Units Polycarbonates (PCS), Polyurethanes (PUR) as well as Coatings, Adhesives and Specialties (CAS) will inform us about their products for the sport sector and possible applications.

The sporting part of the Grand Départ kicks off with the presentation of the teams on Thursday at 18 o’clock
(currently scheduled time) at the Burgplatz in Düsseldorf

Reception offered by the Flanders Investment & Trade and the Representation of Flanders in Germany
at the NRW-Forum in Düsseldorf (upon invitation only)
