COSMOS 2020

The EU funded network of National Contact Points (NCPs) for Space

COSMOS 2020 grounds its roots in the FP7 Programme, funded as an NCP Space Network in 2007 and still in force under Horizon 2020. Thanks to this, NCPs for Space had the chance to share their experience improving activities and services. In order to enhance information services portfolio about Space and EU Framework Programme related topics, different activities have been implemented: joint website and dedicated news service are just some examples.

Particular attention has always been dedicated to networking service such as capacity building, information Services, project partner search, trying to reinforce the cooperation of the NCPs.

The role of COSMOS 2020 has been essential in the organization of international information days supporting in this way the European Commission adding value to project collaborations and raise the overall quality level of services.

> The acronym stands for Continuation of Cooperation OSpace NCPs as a Means to Optimise Services. The term COSMOS originates from the Greek language and means orderly system. This is what the NCPs want to achieve within their project. Via this website including a helpdesk and via a newsletter additional benefit is provided for people being interested in Space in FP7, Horizon 2020 and more.

        >   Presentations of these events can still be downloaded under   "Former events".

Also in 2017 and 2018 COSMOS2020 is going to offer you international Information Days with details and specialist advice on EU Space calls, dedicated brokerage sessions for bilateral meetings as well as networking opportunities.
