At a matchmaking event people meet and greet at high speed. Bilateral meetings usually take between 20 and 30 minutes. This is usually enough time to establish business/research/technological connections. Once the agreed upon time is up, the bell rings and the next meeting starts.
Each participant completes a research and cooperation profile as part of the registration process. This profile is displayed for all to see on the event website. Each participant can select meetings with other participants they would like to talk to personally using the online tool. Participants receive their own personalised meeting schedules a few days before the event. This schedule outlines WHO the participant will meet, WHEN they will meet and WHERE they will meet.
All participants can use the profile facility to present their expertise/projects/technologies to a large audience online BEFORE the event takes place. The cooperation profiles will be extensively promoted. Participants can contact one another in advance of the event and get to know exactly who they will meet on the day. A brokerage event of this kind, therefore, represents a very efficient and focused way of finding new collaboration partners.

The participant indicated in the profile should be the person who will participate in the brokerage event and who is responsible for creating the research and cooperation profile. Participants should provide their contact details (especially e-mail and mobile phone number) so that they may be informed directly in relation to registration, programmes, changes to the event organisation, etc.
In most cases 'support offices' are Enterprise Europe Network offices (chambers of commerce, technology agencies, etc.) who support companies in engaging in international business free of charge. If your region is not listed in the drop-down menu, please select 'other.'

PS: The registration mail contains an 'Autologin' link through which you can sign-in to your personal dashboard directly, without the need to enter your email address and password. For this reason, you should not share your registration confirmation mail with others.

Yes, it is. Every participant can create several profiles.
Please note that profiles are associated with individual participants. The same organisation can be registered twice, represented by two different participants (contact persons).
Yes, it is. Login to your profile via the Login button or the Autologin link you received with your registration mail. From your personal dashboard you can then use the tabs to modify any of the content you have already inserted.
The quality of each profile will be checked by the event organiser. If your profile meets the quality criteria your registration will be validated and the profile will be made public. If not, you will be contacted by the event organiser with a request to improve your profile. Registrants with poor profiles will not be validated for attendance of the brokerage event.
The facility to book bilateral meetings will open about 2-3 weeks before the event, after most of the participants have registered, created high quality research and cooperation profiles and been validated by the organisers. Participants be informed when booking starts by email.

Why are meeting requests accepeted by default?
On average, only about 10% of meeting requests are refused. In this way, the burden on participants to manage their profiles is kept low for the majority (90%) of participants as they are not required to confirm a request they will probably accept anyway.
