Welcome to the

Be Smart, Think Blue Conference & Brokerage Event 2016

All profiles and presentations are now publicly accessible

The ‘Be Smart, Think Blue’ Conference and Brokerage Event 2016 is a two part event taking place in the beautiful Polish city of Gdansk on the 19th and 20th September 2016. The event offers the full range of stakeholders in the area of marine and maritime research the opportunity to interact with the Smart Blue Regions initiative (19th September 2016) and to establish contacts with potential partners to address open calls for Blue Growth research proposals in Horizon 2020 (20th September 2016).

Participants can choose to attend either one or both days of the event. Simply register using the registration button to the right and select the day or days you want to attend using the checkboxes. Attendance of the conference (day 1) is open to anyone with an interest in issues relating to blue growth and smart blue specialisation, although places are limited. The brokerage event (day 2) is also open to all interested stakeholders but requires the submission of a high quality organisation profile and one or more research profiles. The reason for this is so that other attendees planning cooperation addressing topics in the upcoming Horizon 2020 Blue Growth and Transport work programmes (Societal Challenges 2 and 4) can learn about your skills and capacities in advance and decide who they want to arrange bilateral meetings with. Participation in either day of the event is subject to a receipt of confirmation of attendance from the organisers. The event is free of charge, but places are limited.

For more information on the conference on day one visit the conference page and for details on the brokerage event on day two follow the link to the brokerage page. If you have additional questions on either the conference or the brokerage event, you can contact us using the information provided on the contact page.
