The Nordic Embassies and Trade Councils in France organised, on the 8th of June 2017, a French-Nordic seminar in order to promote dialogues and collaborations in the field of district energy.
France and the Nordic countries have strong ambitions for the 2030 agenda on Sustainable Development and district heating is a key factor in the energy transition to achieve these ambitious objectives.
During the seminar, past experiences, visions and innovations were shared and discussed in order to find inspiration on what could be the district heating of tomorrow in terms of governance, technologies, solutions and education. A total of 120 people from ten countries participated, shared experiences and got valuable insights during different presentations throughout the day as well as during eight parallel round-table discussions. Business dialogues and collaborations were also initiated during one-to-one meetings.
We would like to thank our collaboration partners, ADEME and SNCU, Energy Cities and Euroheat & Power for a most valuable co-operation in the preparation of the program as well as the speakers, moderators of the round-tables and the Nordic companies for participating in this collaborative seminar and for sharing ideas and experiences.
We look forward to further French-Nordic co-operations!
This District Heating & Cooling seminar is part of the Nordic Efficiency initiative launched in 2015 by the Nordic Embassies and Trade Offices and Nordic Council of Ministers, in view of the COP21.
