The Joint Programming Initiative Healthy Diet for a Healthy Life organises a workshop to explore the scope of the new ambitioned Joint Action focusing on Data sharing & Data stewardship.
For the JPI HDHL knowledge sharing, including open access of research output of the various Joint Actions, is of crucial importance. The JPI HDHL expects its applicants to consider the exploitation and dissemination strategy already at the stage of drafting their proposal and the development of a data sharing plan and consortium agreement at the start of the project. To further improve open science and the circulation and re-use of scientific data, the JPI HDHL aims to make and to implement a strategy that makes sure data generated through research funded under the JPI HDHL umbrella can gathered and stored in a way that the data is and stays findable, accessible, interoperable and reusable (FAIR).
During this workshop a strategy will be made where JPI HDHL will connect as much as possible with infrastructures and policy developments in place and clear steps that need to be initiated by JPI HDHL with regard to the research funded under the JPI HDHL umbrella and the overall aims and ambitions. The infrastructure and tools developed by ENPADASI will be an important starting point for the exploration process; completed with some well-established Research Infrastructures (i.e. ELIXIR and BBMRI) and the developments of the European Commission’s policy on data sharing.
Several working methods will be used during the workshop to stimulate interaction and to achieve an optimal output. There will be presentations and a large part of the workshop will be used for a discussion according to the Group Decision Room method
