The 1st FOODSEG Symposium was held in Berlin, Germany from 21st and 22nd of June 2012. The symposium was a mixture out of lectures, a training workshop and a brokerage event.
The 1st FOODSEG Symposium was quite successful and attracted about 90 experts from 24 different countries. Experts found a platform that initiated several talks and discussions on food safety and quality, including animal health, feed safety and quality as well as communicating food crisis and the interaction with the consumers. Several current EU projects funded by the FP7 have been presented and promoted via a poster exhibition.
The training workshop „Integration workshhops for young researchers“ attracted and was attended by 18 people.
26 bilateral meetings were held at the small brokerage event. More than 90% of the people voted that the meetings were useful. In detail as follows:
