Amsterdam, the Netherlands
On 12th October 2016 close to 250 participants from more than 20 countries took part in the second Eurostars event, which was held at the Amsterdam ArenA. This event was organised by the Eurostars Programme at the Netherlands Enterprise Agency (RVO.nl), in collaboration with Enterprise Europe Network (EEN).
The event was mainly geared towards SMEs and knowledge institutes, involved in developing technology for new projects, processes and or services. More than 300 bilateral meetings took place between innovative SMEs, companies, knowledge institutes, consultants and representatives from the Eurostars offices in Europe.

This year's event was split into two parts:
1) Project Building
An important part of the Eurostars Autumn event was reserved for the Matchmaking of companies and research organisations from the Netherlands and 35 other Eurostars countries. The Matchmaking was organised by Enterprise Europe Network. During the event companies were also invited to pitch their ideas to a group of peers. Eurostars works on a bottom-up basis, meaning that representatives from all technology fields are welcome to participate in the Programme. The event focussed in particular on:
2) Providing Information
There were opportunities to learn more about the Eurostars Programme (application process, eligibility rules, tips and tricks for writing successful applications) and the national funding rules of potential project partners. Representatives from the Eurostars Secretariat in Brussels and national Eurostars offices were present at the event.
