Join us at this open, innovative event aimed at bringing together EIP action groups, reference sites, connected health ecosystems, SMEs, innovators, public officials, patient groups, academics, entrepreneurs & buyers.

The EU Marketplace for eHealth & EIP on AHA will run on Monday 22nd September to complement the “Growing the Silver Economy in Europe” event being held on Tuesday 23rd September.

We are delighted to partner with the European Commission, the AAL (Ambient Assisted Living) and AGE Platform Europe to bring you this dynamic event.

The event is supported by the GET - Global e-Health Transforming Services (EU Project) and will be held within the European Commission building in Brussels, in cooperation with DG Connect and DG Sanco.

The focus of the EU Marketplace for eHealth & EIP on AHA is bringing together large industry, SMEs, policy makers, researchers, care professionals, service providers, buyers and consumers through formal and informal meetings.

The objective is to provide a platform for all stakeholders in connected health and AHA actors’ to meet, share best practices and develop effective collaborations leading to new projects and business opportunities. The event will also provide a platform for the exchange of information between procurers and potential suppliers. Through the European project GET - Global e-Health Transforming Services, the event will propose sessions to:

  • Support the internationalisation of European companies (especially SMEs) - GET Global service
  • Identify eHealth market opportunities across Europe

The dynamic marketplace will include:

  • The highly popular pre-arranged matchmaking meetings (offering 10 meeting in 2.5 hours)
  • Speakers’ corner (6 mins short presentations offering 25 speakers)home.png
  • Popup exhibitions and demos – aimed at showcasing organisations (space may be limited)
  • "Meet & Debate" table sessions - focused on important subjects that are influencing the eHealth and the EIP on AHA challenges (Regional strategies for eHealth and AHA, National market insights, Connected Health Ecosystems, Reference Sites dynamics, Innovative Procurement methods, AAL projects, Age friendly environment, Building workforce skills, SME internationalisation and identifying market gaps etc..)

What you will get out of it:

  • EU stakeholders of eHealth and AHA sectors have opportunities to meet, debate, share knowledge and disseminate best practices, build projects and develop business opportunities.
  • Networking opportunities with an open multi-sector approach.
  • SMEs will meet a wide range of EU health influencers, potential buyers, partners and large industry, and learn about different markets and initiatives across Europe.
  • Large companies and SMEs will have the opportunity to connect with eHealth leaders in formal and informal networking and meetings.
  • Buyers and potential suppliers will have a forum in which to exchange information on unmet needs that could be solved with the support of digital actors.
  • Academics can share their research and seek collaborative opportunities.
  • Learn more about the EU project “GET”:
    • The ‘GET Global’ service aims to support mature SMEs and entrepreneurs to access international markets by providing opportunities to meet potential foreign buyers and partners, as well as increasing their understanding of different markets
    • The ‘Fill the Gap’ service aims to identify unmet needs and challenges in Health that can be solved with the support of digital actors. It follows a demand-driven approach that highlights business opportunities from the people that directly work on the problems.

Matchmaking meetings:

The EU Marketplace is all about connecting and you may prearrange up to 10 x 15min meetings with people from across Europe.  This is a great opportunity to engage with a wide range of actors in Connected Health to share ideas, projects, services or research. 

  • It is very easy to participate and you are in full control of your meetings.
  • While registering tick the time slots when you would like to meet people. 
  • Select all time slots if possible as it increases the possibility of matched meetings.
  • You may add a short cooperation profile stating what you’re interested in or why you want to meet people.
  • It is possible to reject any meeting requests that do not suit your interest. 
  • Register and see who else it would make good business sense to connect with.
  • Don’t forget to bring lots of business cards!


Popup Exhibition:

An important part of the Marketplace will be the pop-up (banner) exhibitions, meaning no pre-built exhibition stands. We expect a high demand for places from companies and organizations so please indicate your interest while registering. There is no fee to display your banner.

  • We suggest you register now to avoid disappointment as places are limited.  
  • To ensure representation from the full spectrum of actors in Connected Health, we may need to limit multiple registrations for the same organisations. Should that happen we will advise you as soon as possible.

Event Cost -there is no event fee for attending but places are limited.
