Aurora Ferrándiz Cancio is a Spanish IT Consultant specialized in eHealth & mHealth projects. She graduated in Computer Engineering in 1998, University of Granada and since then she has been working in the definition and execution of innovative solutions for a wide number of IT projects in areas such as Telecommunications (Telefónica, Vodafone and Orange, the three biggest telcos in Spain), eGovernment and eHealth & Telecare solutions providing also support in the maintenance after the go-live.

Aurora is part of the Advisory Board of Lovexair Foundation and has helped to define EducaxAir service.

Caty Ebel Bitoun is a certified French geriatrician. She values healthy and active aging. She is very innovative in supporting older adults to access the digital world, mobile health, telemedecine and smart cities. She worked more than 20 years at European level in Big pharmas in R&D and medical affairs in launching and  developing new products. 
She identified the market gap between the older population wishes and needs and the market offers.
Therefor she decided to express her expertise in creating, in partnership with a pharmacist, acvfitTM  , a mobile health startup. acvfitTM  provides its customer the opportunity to interact with an active community and generate value through big data.

Chibuzo Anaso, CEO & Founder

Anasodiabitiz Inc

Dr Chibuzo Anaso is a general practitioner with special interest in Diabetes and Cardiovascular diseases. He is the CEO and Founder of Anasodiabitiz Inc. He obtained his medical degree (MBBS) from the University of Maiduguri, in Nigeria and shortly after that moved to South Africa.

While practicing in South Africa, he developed a passion helping patients living with diabetes and other cardiovascular diseases. He believes that empowering patients with self-management skills and education will ultimately lead to fewer complications arising from cardiovascular diseases. He has been involved in communities across South Africa, assisting with self management, empowering communities to manage diabetes.In the process of doing the community work, the idea of developing a platform for managing large numbers of diabetes patients was birthed. He started developing this platform, working at the same time to support the development. The platform was tested at the practice in Cape Town in which he worked. He was astonished with the results.

He incorporated a company in Cape Town, South Africa to handle the platform and its operations and shortly after the company was moved to Washington DC in the District of Columbia due to the strategic partnership he was able to acquire.His ideal is that everyone living with diabetes (irrespective of location, social class or level of education) should have the same standard care. He is actively recruiting partners to achieve this ideal.


Clara Wang, Co-founder

Beijing Social Healthcare Marketing Mobile

Ms. Wang has worked for Eli Lilly, Pfizer Pharmaceutical, was the former Sales Director of South & North China Tyco Healthcare, and the former Marketing Director of Olympus Respiratory Product Group. In 2006, she was the first in China to develop a mobile social platform based on QR codes in the pharmaceutical industry over China's mobile SNS community for pharmacy shop assistants.

From 2009 to 2012 she produced 300 medical microblogging accounts, among the most famous including @yiyuandadianshi (about hospitals), @waikenadianshi (about surgery), and @neikenadianshi (about internal medicine).

From 2012 to 2014 she developed a third-party WeChat medical platform (Wemed), and founded more than 50 WeChat public accounts in healthcare and medicine.

In 2014 she co-founded Beijing Social Healthcare Marketing Mobile, which is providing training and support to 1.5 million of rural primary care doctors in collaboration with Linkcare.

OJ-Bio Ltd

Dr Dale Athey is CEO and founder of OJ-Bio Ltd, a joint venture between leading Japanese wireless communications company, Japan Radio Co., Ltd., and UK nanobiotech company Orla Protein Technologies Ltd. OJ-Bio is utilising Surface Acoustic Wave (SAW) sensor technology, advanced biotechnology and communication system expertise to develop a range of wireless devices that are enabling testing outside of the traditional laboratory setting.

Dale began his career as a clinical biochemist in the UK National Health Service, then gained over 20 years industrial experience in both research and commercial in the medical diagnostics industry, latterly with Chiron and Bayer Diagnostics. 


Dee O’Sullivan, Director


Dee is director of myhealthapps.net, a free public portal of health apps reviewed and tested by patient and health consumer groups. It aims to empower patients and the public to better manage their general health and wellbeing and the daily care of their specific conditions. The site was launched in Brussels in November 2013 and is owned by PatientView, a UK-based data, research and publishing consultancy that canvasses and reflects patient perspectives on healthcare. It now has the capacity to reach out to 120,000 patient groups worldwide.

Dee has over 20 years' experience in the UK and Brussels of advocacy, pan-European stakeholder engagement, strategic communications and media relations, including for the Economist Group, Epposi and MCI Group.


Eero Punkka, Director

VTT Technical Research Centre of Finland

Eero is currently Head of Research Area and the director of VTT Health R&D. He has 17 years of experience in industry ranging from MEMS and semiconductor technology (Vaisala Technologies/VTI Hamlin) to wellness and sports products and services, (CTO at Suunto/Amer Sports) – also in a start-up environment (Navigil).

He has originally a research scientist (physics) background from Helsinki University of Technology, VTT and Massachusetts Institute of Technology. His passion lies in the transformation of diagnostic technologies and digital health to innovative products and services.

Frederic Llordachs i Marqués, Co-founder & Partner


Doctor Frederic Llordachs i Marqués is graduated in Medicine and Surgery and has an MBA for ESADE. He is the cofounder and partner of Doctoralia, the global search engine platform for doctors and private practices and Advisor in the Mobile Health Competence Centre from Barcelona Mobile World Capital Foundation. He is eHealth manager of ACES, the Catalan private healthcare trade association and since 2012 has been leading Health 2.0 Spanish Chapters.

He is academic collaborator at ESADE Business School and Faculty of Medicine at Universitat Internacional de Catalunya. He has been working during 8 years with some spanish health insurance companies and was Medical Director at the CIMA Clinic of Barcelona. Since March 2014 he is member for eHealth doctors at the Official College of Doctors of Barcelona (COMB).

Besides engineering Johann did a Masters in Business Innovation at University of St. Gallen. Jonathan has over 12 years of experience in providing applied Sport Science support across several High-Performance Environments. Achieving a PhD in Science & Football in 2005 he has produced several peer-reviewed publications within soccer analysis. His core skills are within Exercise Physiology, Wearable Technology, Behaviour Change and Data Analytics.

Now operating as a Performance Consultant @Support2Perform, Jonathan provides services to assess and monitor Health & Wellness, including: activity, stress, exercise, nutrition, sleep, fatigue and recovery. His work has included services for clients such as Manchester Utd, Manchester City FC, Liverpool FC, NZ All Blacks, Team GB and with European Tour Golfers. Most recently, his work has expanding into industries such as Police, Transport, Construction and Public Healthcare.

Karina Marcus, Director

AAL Association

Karina Marcus has a degree in Computer Sciences and a PhD in Combinatorial Optimisation. She has spent several years in the public and private sector in the telecommunications area, working in Brazil, France, Canada and Belgium. From 2008 to 2010 she worked at the European Commission as a Research Programme Manager in the areas of Information Communication Technologies (ICT) for Environment and e-Health, contributing to policy implementation and strategy development in these fields. Since October 2011 she is the Director of the Central Management Unit of the Ambient Assisted Living (AAL) Association, responsible for the AAL Programme, which funds European projects in the area of ICT for Ageing Well.

Michael Dillhyon, President

Vital Connect 

Before joining Vital Connect as President of Vital Connect Europe, Michael Dillhyon was the Founder/CEO of Geneva-based healthbank, a citizen-owned, global open health data cooperative. In 2013, Michael was the first Entrepreneur-in-Residence (EIR) for SystemsX, Switzerland’s largest (800M CHF) early stage life sciences fund, and served as a mentor for the ETH Entrepreneurship Lab.

Prior to 2013, Michael served as Chairman of Genebio, a bioinformatics software firm, and sat on the Strategic Advisory Committee for HealthTIES, an EU-backed consortium of four of Europe’s top regions in biosciences, medical technology and health entrepreneurship. Before moving to Switzerland in 2004, Michael co-founded two US-based firms: Netelligent Corporation and ActiveObjects, where he held the roles of President, Chairman and CEO respectively.

Mr. Dillhyon holds degrees in Biochemistry and Anthropology, as well as a MBA from the Olin School of Business. He has completed residencies at Harvard Business School, the London School of Business, UC-Berkeley (Venture Capital Executive) and Fudan University


Michael Nova, Chief medical officer

Dr. Nova is currently the chief medical officer of Pathway Genomics, and was a founding team member of the company. He is the inventor the Pathway-IBM/Watson Big Data-Deep Learning mobile application Panorama; and the entire nutrition (Pathway FIT/Healthy Weight) line of products for Pathway. Dr Nova has executed major corporate alliances with Medco/ESI, PepsiCo, DASA (Brazil), Achibadem (Turkey), IHH/Parkway (Singapore), IBM, and many others. His scientific career began at the Salk Institute in the laboratory of Nobel Laureate Roger Guillemin, where he studied the genetics and proteomics of human growth factors and cancers. Michael was the founder and CEO of Discovery Partners Inc. (Nasdaq: DPII), which completed a successful $150M IPO and marketed wireless and radiofrequency combinatorial chemistry technology. Dr. Nova is also a 2005 World Economic Forum Technology Pioneer Award Winner; and the physician of record on the first person ever to have their entire genome sequenced by Illumina (2009).

With degrees in Physics and Medicine, Dr. Nova is a Dermatologist licensed in California. In his minimal spare time, Michael likes to surf big waves in Indonesia and Mexico, and he helped build a WHO-sanctioned basic care clinic in the Fijian town of Nabila.

Richard Bowden, CEO & Founder 


Richard has over twenty five years experience in developing and delivering software solutions in different business sectors. He is an experienced agile practitioner. He has worked as a successful project manager in both the public and private healthcare sectors. This experience was the driver for the focus on older people care management.

Richard started Assesspatients in 2013, focusing on supporting multidisciplinary care and enabling better care quality for the older community from acute care hospitals to residential & community based care programmes.

He has spoken at a number of international conferences on the topic of healthcare innovation. He is currently on the organising committee of the local health 2.0 chapter in Dublin Ireland. He has a PhD in Operations and Technology and a diploma in data protection/internet law.
