EU-US Cluster Cooperation and Matchmaking Event

EU-US Cluster Cooperation and Matchmaking Event, May 16 2017

at the TechConnect World Innovation Conference, Washington DC

Get international! And find the perfect match!

Meet up to 10 promising clusters and network partners in one day at one location!

A U.S.-EU Cooperation Seminar and Matchmaking Event will be organised at TechConnect World Innovation in Washington, D.C. as a follow-up to the EU-U.S. matchmaking event organised at Hannover Messe in April 2016 with the aim to facilitate transatlantic linkages between European and US clusters and help SMEs find strategic partners.

Please find here the draft agenda of the seminar and matchmaking event.

From 15th to 19th May 2017, a High-Level EU Cluster Mission to the USA organised by the European Cluster Collaboration Platform and BILAT USA 4.0, seeks to support transatlantic cluster cooperation for strategic business partnerships. This mission organised as a follow-up to the EU-US Cooperation Arrangement on Clusters signed between the U.S. Department of Commerce and DG GROWTH of the European Commission.

This is a unique opportunity for European clusters looking to cooperate with US clusters and networks, in particularly in Boston, Philadelphia and Washington DC, as the selected participants will visit cluster organisations and participate in networking workshops in these cities.

Focus

  • Meet clusters (and SME networks) from all over Europe and USA;
  • Scout for cluster partners for joint development projects;
  • Gain knowledge about international clusters, their areas of specialisation and strategy;
  • Discover new opportunities for cross cluster collaboration;
  • Present, discuss and develop new project ideas with other clusters.

  Why participate?

  • Besides excellent matchmaking opportunities the event also offers an interesting Cooperation Seminar and roundable program;
  • Gain insight into Global Innovation and cross cluster collaboration;
  • Identify potential areas of RDI cooperation for the cluster members,
  • Overview of different possibilities for funding to develop or enhance international cluster cooperation activities;
  • Opportunity to form or develop a Horizon 2020 consortium and other European projects.

All participants must have a published cluster profile on ECCP platform.
