5th Cluster Matchmaking Conference

Practical Information

The Venue: Matchmaking, networking and knowledge sharing requires the right surroundings. We have found that in the heart of Stuttgart in Haus der Wirtschaft Baden-Württemberg.

Adress: Haus der Wirtschaft Baden-Württemberg.

Willi-Bleicher-Straße 19, 70174 Stuttgart, Germany

How to get there - directions.

Via Stuttgart Airport (http://www.stuttgart-airport.com/?cl=en):  The city can be easily reached within 30 minutes from the Stuttgart Airport using the Stuttgart suburban railway S2 or S3.

Via Frankfurt Airport (https://www.frankfurt-airport.com/en/flights---more/flights.html): As Stuttgart Airport is rather a small airport you may probably get problems finding a direct flight to Stuttgart. In case of this there’s the possibility to fly to Frankfurt Airport. You can reach Stuttgart within 1h from Frankfurt Airport (there’s a train station directly at the airport) using Deutsche Bahn (https://reiseauskunft.bahn.de/bin/query.exe/en).

Where to stay:

Please notice that hotel capacity is limitied in Stuttgart due to other major events taking place on September 21-22. So do please book your accomodation early.

Baden-Württemberg – a strong Region at the Heart of Europe

In terms of both its surface area and population size, Baden-Württemberg is the third biggest of the German States, located in the South-West of Germany and bordering on France, Switzerland, and Austria. An area of 35.751 square kilometres houses a population of around 10.9 million people. Baden-Württemberg is characterized by the diversity of its landscapes. In the West, the scenery is characterized by the Black Forest and the Rhine Plain, in the South by Lake Constance and the ridge of the Alps, in the East by the Swabian Alb hills, and in the North by the Hohenloh plain and the uplands of the Kraichgau region. Forest makes up around 40 per cent of Baden-Württemberg’s total area. The highest mountain is the Feldberg in the Southern Black Forest at 1,493 metres.
