The Bavarian State Minister for European Affairs and International Relations, Dr. Beate Merk, the Bavarian Minister for the Environment and Consumer Protection, Ulrike Scharf, and the EU Commissioner for Regional Policy and Urban Development, Corina Creţu, cordially invite you to the Annual Forum of the EU Alpine Strategy (EUSALP) under the Bavarian presidency 2017.

The EU Alpine Strategy, which was officially launched in 2015, provides a platform for cross-border cooperation projects in the fields of economy and education, infrastructure and transport, digitisation, energy and the protection of environmental and cultural resources. At the Annual Forum, representatives of the seven states and 48 regions of the Alpine region will present the activities undertaken to date on the implementation of the strategy.

Representatives from associations, municipalities, business, NGOs, research institutes, media, civil society and other interested parties are cordially invited to participate in the discussion with their ideas and suggestions on how the major challenges of the 21st century such as globalisation, climate and demographic change, infrastructure, digitisation, energy supply and protection of natural resources in the Alpine region can be addressed in the best possible way.

The Annual Forum also includes a large Citizens Forum with a Citizens Dialogue hosted by the European Commission, a youth conference and a wide range of information and participation opportunities open to the general public.

Registration for participation is possible via this website.

By participating in the event, you agree that you may be seen on recordings used in the press and public relations activities of the Bavarian State Government and the European Commission.

We look forward to welcoming you to the Annual Forum!
