The Space Call comprises the following Areas and topics: Activity "GMES": Activity "Space Science Foundation": Activity "Cross-cutting activities" The draft work programme of the forthcoming Space Call can be found here. It will provide the basis for the Call which is expected to be released on 10 July 2012. University of Surrey, based in Guildford South of London is an ideal venue. The conference facilities are excellent and it is well connected by rail and easily reached from Heathrow, Gatwick and Stansted airports and from the Eurostar rail terminal. The local area represents an important concentration of space activity. University of Surrey has a strong track record in EU space research, and leading space organisations are near neighbours, notably Surrey Satellite Technology (now a subsidiary of Astrium, and originating from academic work at Surrey).
